Reading current tune wierd issue
Reading current tune wierd issue
S300 was installed into the ecu by a person in Florida I don't know the name but a reputable shop though. This is just a customer and friend of mines car. I'm a GM guy don't mess with s300 alot but I'm having a weird problem. I ttuned the car and gotnpretty good for now till I can get some more time with it and it not be 100 degrees outside lol. But I can unplug the computer the car keeps running exactly the same never any problem. But I decided to just read the ecm the other day instead of just pulling up the last tune I had saved and when it finished reading it was showing the base tune that the shop that installed it put on it but it doesn't run with that tune on it its runs like mines on it. So why is this am I not fully updatig it somehow. My worry is if he has to remove the ecm that it will somehow reset to the base tune for somereason and not my tune.
Re: Reading current tune wierd issue
What s300 do you have? The calibration saved to the s300 is not necessarily the same as the binary uploaded to the s300. If it is a red or white board then it could be that the shop saved the calibration to the s300 but your settings are not to do so, so if you download you'll get the shops' calibration.
