0 rpm display on smanager

Post by Ro3shambo »

Hey guys, new here been around the honda scene for a while and wanted to do my own boosted setup. I
bought a b18c gsr obd1 rebuilt it and put it into my 1990 integra.(obd0) I wired it all up and went to start it for my first time and in
smanager it's displaying 65650 rpm steady. I have fuel pressure, injector pulse, spark and timing is correct. Car cranks but wont run.
So far I have ohmed out the three sensors in the dizzy as per helms results being:
Crank sensor:365 ohms
Cyl sensor:370 ohms
tdc sensor: 370 ohms
All checked out as per helms manual. I have verified all wiring ( all have continuity with minimal resistance.) also verified the pin out from obd0-0bd1 adapter harness. Also checked the ign out signal at the dizzy and i'm getting 15% duty cycle so it's sending a pulse. I went ahead and swapped an known good ICM and still nothing. As im cranking displays 0 rpm until about 5 cranks and it skyrockets to 65650 yes that's no typo. The car wont start and through smanager it's showing no codes. My next step is to take the ecu and try it in a buddies obd1 setup to rule it out. Any advice or idea's would help. I saw someone with the same problem in 2008 but the no conclusion. I'm fully competent with a multi meter/ oscilloscope. GRRR Any help appreciated.

Have you uploaded a calibration to the s300? Do other sensors work (MAP sensor, ECT etc)?

Has J12 been cut in the ECU?

What is the serial number on the s300 board inside the ECU?

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

It's a po6 auto ecu converted to manual, The serial number on the S300 is: 32667. J12 has been removed. I think the conversion harness may have some in proper pin outs. I'm double checking that as I type.

Ecu reads rpms on my tuners car so it's not that. Starting to think I need a new dizzy, can I change the crank sensor inside? I've ohmed it out and it says it's okay.

It is most likely a problem with the OBD0-OBD1 conversion. You will need to use process of elimination to determine what the cause is on your vehicle.
