Sorry in advance for the long post...
I'm an avid bracket racer in the southeast, race nearly every week weather and budget allows,
I've always raced my 90 crx and 88crx backup car both with an 89 integra automatic trans mated to a d16 vtec around 13.7:1 c/r and have always sworn by my s300's I've got one in both my cars and love the hondata quality and consistentcy won many events with the setup and it's awesome, but quality engine and trans cores are getting scarce over priced and always overly abused.
So I've been thinking of ways to put a k24a2 with matching auto trans in my crx. the mounting I can take care of i formally worked in a chasis shop building rear engine dragsters so I've got all tools and experience to cut and weld whatever may need to be done
My dilemma is getting hondata options that will make the trans work well enough to race consistently drive ability doesn't matter so long as race ability is there and it shifts consistent every shift At around 7500
I feel like the iceing on the cake would be if I could still dyno tune the engine with a setup 14.5:1 cr or higher with some decent cams header and intake manifold and have control like kpro has not so much just a reflash.
I've been researching for a year I've already got mock up blocks and trans measurements made bug with no way to control the trans there's no point in going through yet
Thanks for the time
Joey Branhof
Edit automatic transmissions is vital for this setup up nearly 97% of my class has power glides with transbrakes and airshifters , streetabilty ranks zero on my list of needs this is a trailer queen race car
Thinking of drastically changing my race program

Re: Thinking of drastically changing my race program
I'm sorry, but the K-Pro does not support automatic transmissions in any way.

Re: Thinking of drastically changing my race program
What about the dual ecu setup would that make it possible?
I've had great luck with the s300 controlling the engine currently in my car, and have tons of faith in hondata's consistency I can normally paint a dial in on the car for months

This is not something we recommend or support.
