ok, ive searched, read the manuals, and i still cant figure out how to burn a chip!!!! i have everything from the rommulater to the pocket programmer. can someone break it down in lamens terms step by step how to burn a chip? also what are the pocket programmer and the romulater used for? do they have the same use? ive read all the manuals but im more of a hands on guy. some one please break this down for me so i can finally use my hondata equptment that i spent so much money on.i have an s200b and the ecu is a p28.

ok i checked that link out, followed its exact directions and i burned the chip, installed it in the ecu turned the key on an a solid check engine light and the hondata blinking.

Check that the ROM isn't installed backwards and that all your solder connections are good.

How are you creating the ROM image?

i made absolute sure the chip wasnt backwords and the soldering job looks good to me (hondata did the ecu). still have blinking box.

i am going through rom editor picking a custom program (adjusting injector size) then saving it. then i go to my pocket programmer software, load buffer (changing from hex to bin) then burning the chip.

Do not use custom programs. Go to file new, use the wizard to select your ecu type, then select one of the stock maps and make your injector changes to that and save the file. You should not have to convert anythign from hex to bin, as all Romeditor files are bin files.
