Open loop on E85 issue going lean when Tipping Throttle

Post by RofromNorCal »

Ok i have Hondata S300 v2 setup on
a P05 ECU
on 1998 Acura Integra
Stock Fuel System no Injector, Pump, or Regulator
vehicle is use for driving not Racing at this time.
Serial Number is 20849
on E85 pump Street Tune

So I have been having an issue at Cold warm ups
Examples
when the vehicle has cool down
sat for hrs,
over night next morning

what issue i do not have is cold start up, the vehicle cranks fine
what it is, when i have let it idle at stand a still to reach close loop and when i apply my foot to throttle pedal to leave before it reach close loop or before it reach operation Temp.

The Vehicle will Switch to Lean real fast, and stay there for at lease 2 sec.
and it will switch back to rich, it seem to mostly happen at colder ECT's and when you roll your foot on throttle
the vehicle will even die some times due to lack of Fuel Command

What i have is my datalog of me apply the throttle at a stand still after work (vehicle has sat for 8hrs in Escondido, CA)

now this doesnt happen if i run into store for a hr or somewhere cause vehicle and engine is still warm.
my guess is the Ethanol

Ive been play with Fuel compensation and i have seen no change as well as TPS options in Parameters

ive hope that enough info you need
sorry if i miss the Grammar. :P

e85 requires 3 to 4 times more fuel then ulp so stock pump, injectors and fpr won't work.

Not always, but sometimes you may be required to upgrade components of your ignition system to also cope with E85 as the colder burning fuel requires more ignition energy to ignite. (alcoholic fuels are harder to burn / ignite than unleaded fuels)

thank you for your opinion, I very much understand the requirement for E85
my lack in info is understand the diff. in temp when e85 is at cooler temp vs e85 at hot temp.
I guessing the flash points change at diff. temp.
