Issues with tps? ign advancing & leaning out

Post by Cbocephus »

I have a 1994 Civic Hb with a b18c1 swap.. 50mm turbo on 12-14psi.

Hondata S300v3 and a S300v2..

At highway speed 55-60mph, i can give about 35-45% tps and make 12psi.. The datalog shows everything to be fine, following all of the fuel map and ign tables as commanded.. (im aware of compensation factors during a log..) once into boost around 12psi @ 40% tps, i try to achieve 100% throttle and the datalogs show my ign timing to start climbing quickly to any random number and the duty cycle goes down!

I could really use some advice here!

I have a datalog and the current tune here..

Secondary tables are switched on at 70% tps and have some high timing values in columns 14 and above. Just set secondary tables to disabled.

i took a look at the previously posted log.. the secondary tables were turning on throughout the run. the secondaries were on for most the run but nothing looked relavent to it being on?

Can you help explain how its causing the duty cycle and inj ms to fall ? the ign timing jumped sldo..

Look at your secondary tables. The ignition is 40 degrees and the fuel 0 in column 14.

ok.. i see what you are talking about and im pretty sure thats the issue.

after turning the secondary tables off the car leans out with any tps gain.. it seems like the secondary table mapping is taking control when shut off!
why would it act this way? do i just need to click the invert input box?

Im sure i could just make the secondary mapping the same as the primary tables... but thats not how i want this setup!

How did you switch off the secondary tables? It should be 'disabled'. The datalog no longer shows the secondary tables in use, so your problems are now tuning related.
