One problem is that the k20a3 is just so different from the k20a2. For
example, at high RPM the k20a2 is running at 50 degree cam angle
whereas the k20a3 is running at 10 or 20 degrees at high RPM. And the
k20a3 VTEC point is just so low that you're practically always on the
high cam where as the Type-S is almost always on the low cam.
It's hard to find tuning information on the K20A3 because most of the information is posted for the K20A or K20A2 tuning wise.
According to Hondata K-Pro DVD, knock is tuned out by using higher octane gasoline or -2 ignition at the location of knocks occurred (RPM&MAP&CAM). Does this apply for the K20A3 also? I've tried this method but have had no luck in achieving the desired results.
