Please help, Wrong Flash Pro

Post by got9k »

I am in the LA area, I ordered a Hondata Flash Pro from Boomba Racing last week and received the unit yesterday. Their website is a bit confusing to say the least, the box doesn't say what year this thing is for so I plugged it in and it told me quickly it's not for my car. So it's still unregistered and has not been locked to my car. I'm looking for someone, anyone who has the proper one available to consider trading me. I'd be very appreciative if you can help me. I'd be willing to kick down some cash too, and if you're within a 100 miles I'll drive there. Please I need my car back now! It's already been down a week.

Let me clarify I've got a 2014 Civic Si and the unit I received is for an 8th Gen up til 2011.

I’m sorry, but you will have to resolve this issue with your dealer as it appears it has already been registered.

Why does it matter if it's been registered? I mean would you have helped me if it hadn't? That seems a little shady considering there isn't anyway of knowing this isn't for my car specifically until after you register it.

You'll still have to contact Boomba Racing about this. The FlashPro is two years old, so we can't straight swap it over as it is a pre-Bluetooth FlashPro which we no longer sell.

I've contacted them, they don't have my unit in stock and will only order me one once they receive this one back. I'm more than willing to pay for the upgraded unit. Would that not be fair and also very generous of you to help a customer/supporter of your product?
