S300 ecu troubles? b20vtec

Post by samdemone »

Hey guys I'm brand new to this forum and am in need of some help on my first build. I'm a rookie to building engines and cars but I've been around them my whole life and have a ton of friends with great experience around them to help me out but this problem stumps me.

I recently built a b20vtec, 12.1 cr with type r cams and type r head 310cc injectors.

Ecu is a chipped po6 vtec converted hondata s300. I have a AEM wideband and no 02 sensors. I purchased a basemap to get my car to start from HA motorsports and it started just fine. After a couple of minutes of idle it through an engine code (code 41 o2 sensor heater circuit) and also put the engine into limp mode and wouldn't rev passed 2600rmps. I checked the timing countless of times and its dead on, its also checked on hondata to be turned off. I then tried my friends chipped po6 with a phearable chip and custom map for a lstvec with similar compression and it fired right up with no engine codes! took it for a drive and everything was fine! So it lead me to believe maybe my basemap was off or something, so i found a b20vtec calibration on here and went to try it today, turned the key to the on position and the fuel pump primed and would not shut off until i turned the key back to the off position.

Could this maybe be a wiring issue in the harness? or is my ecu fried?

Help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

IT sounds like it is most likely an ECU issue. Try the s300 in a different ECU to see.
