Wiring on Analog inputs on S300 board

Post by jdelcorte »

Do the sensors need to be grounded to the black wire s300 board? Or to a chassis ground? If not what are the black wire grounds for on the pigtail for the analog inputs? Thanks Josh

It depends on the sensor. If the sensor has a analog ground, then that should go to the s300 analog ground. If the sensor is low current, like a pressure sensor, then that can also go to the s300 analog ground. However if you're connecting something without an analog ground, like a wideband, then the ground needs to go to chassis ground otherwise the o2 sensor heater current will go through the s300 and ECU. In this case keep the wideband ground close to the ECU ground and short, which will reduce the voltage offset.
