ITR program causing some problems

I wa gonna post this int eh reflash area but it doesnt seem to get visited so maybe u guys with tuning knowledge can help.
I hve the ITR reflash for my k20a2 with itr cams, aem cai, hondata IMG,dc sports shorty header and stock cat. with tanabe racing medallion exhaust.

i took a buddy for a ride yesterday. i didnt shift past 7500. i got on it real good a fe times. but nothing major. ive put 250 miles on the cams since i got them

i woke up this morning and started the car up and it sounded like an old muscle car with crazy lobes. like an old hemi. then the CEL started flashing. not solid just flashing.

i put the car in gear it drove like it had 3 cylinders. real rough when i would come to nuetral it would idle down to almost death. i drove it to the shop about 3 miles away the idle. flattend out at 500 rpms. the cel stoped flashing but when i would rev it sounded funny and the idle would drop down to almost stall and right back up.

Yesterday wa the first time i rally drove it hard since the cam install not hard hard not past 8200 rpm but i did race my buddy from a 50 mph roll to 120. but it was a 3rd gear get on it and a shift perfect at 8000 everytime until almost 5th gear ( no i wont shift at 8500 and yes i was just having fun )

the shop could not find anything wrong. nothing bent compression anything, He told me it has to be something electrical that would be intermittent

its throwing no codes. he drove it around and couldnt get it to misfire again

I know there was an issue that issue with hondata talking about the ecu ground and how its a bad ground place factory wise and to replace the ground. I never did that . ( yeah im running out of idea's

he said it may be a coil packgoing bad but doubtful ( only 31k miles on an 02) he asked if i have an aftermarket ecu i told him it was stock but with a diff flash. and he looked at me and said that it could be causing it . but he could not duplicate the problem.

I asked about the plugs but he told me i couldnt be the pulgs because it wouldnt be intermittent. everytime a load is put on them that it would mis.

i asked about the cat. he said the flashing ecu could cause cat problems because of the mis firing. But eh cat wouldnt cause the misfiring


Im wondering when i got he ecu back last month there was a pin bent straight down on it that i had to bend back up. So imwondering if that is an issue ( yeah im reaching deep )


could i be running rich due to the flash with shorty header and stock cat. is that the reason for the funny idle. Because im not getting enough airflow out.

I let teh car sit at idle for 20 min. and it stopped fluctuating. before i would rev it up and it would drop down to about 200 rpms and almost die. before it would flatten back to 500 rpms. now it stopped doing that after idling. I did not drive it past 4500 rpms for more then a mile today im kinda freaked out

Try this before doing anthing else....it is very important to follow what is recommended.
