hello guys,
I have just recently installed PPG's 1/2/3/4 into my 2006 rsx transmission.
I have come to the conclusion its much easier to do on the 02-04 as they use a speed sensor off the diff.
my problem is here...ppg 3rd gear is a larger diameter then both the type S and base model 3rd gears. so I needed to space the sensor off the gear because I broke 1 sensor not paying attention.
then I put in another new sensor and spaced it out good to ensure that didn't happen again. but then the sensor would not read any mph.
I took and placed a smaller spacer in to put it closer to the gear. it works now but the mph is off. Even with putting the new gear ratios into the calibration it will tell me im in 1st or 2nd gear and reads 35mph when im actually doing 60. I tried messing with the correction percentage but any change I make makes no difference. I attached a 3rd gear pull for reference. you can see it says im in 1st gear and only going at max 44mph when I am actually around 90-100mph.
is there a spec for exact distance between gear and sensor? also with this being a dog box now the sensor is slightly off from 3rd. could it be reading mph from picking up the revolutions of the dog teeth and not the gear teeth?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: speed sensor issue
Have you contacted PPG about this to see what they have seen in any testing they have done?
Re: speed sensor issue
no I have not as I thought this is something going on with either kpro or the sensor and its wiring.
