hondata s300 v2 not working

Post by flipteg206 »

I have been running a b20 base map on my s300 for about the past year and a half and now the ecu will go into a 4k limp mode with no CEL, or a high idle 1500-2000 limp mode with CEL. However when I connect to sManager most of the time the ecu will not communicate with the computer. When I do get communication between the program and the ecu the error codes are almost every sensor and some times codes that are unknown along with bad sensor values for rpm, ect, gear, etc. I have tried to update the firmware but after it complete it restarts updating and repeats. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What is the serial number that is on the s300 board inside the ECU? From Help, About, what version of software are you using?

I am using software version 2.3.3 and the serial number on the board is 22961. I bought a new computer and it hasn't been trying to install the firmware over and over again but when I unplug the cord from the ECU hookup the motor dies and other times when testing I will be under high rev full throttle and the car dies as well. When this happens CEL comes on but doesn't show codes for problem.

By cord do you mean the USB cable? In that case, you have a bad master ground and the ECU is grounding through the USB cable. Don't run the car until you fix it as the current will damage the ECU / S300.
