D15b7 base map

Post by autobacs »

Hello all,

I'm a newbie in the realm of the Hondata/stand-alone engine management systems, and I can see that the learning curve is steep in the beginning. I haven't yet converted my P06 ECU to accept a Hondata because I need a question answered.

I have a naturally aspirated D15b7 engine which will be getting a "stage 2" type cam in it, with the usual I/H/E, and with a Skunk 2 intake manifold (nothing crazy).

Question:
I've heard from others that I should be seeking a P28 ECU as it's the most desirable ECU to use. Is this true?

Also, does there happen to be a stock D15b7 base map available? I browsed the different calibrations available, but the closest base map I saw was for a D16z6 (v-tec engine).

IF it is non-vtec, then the P06 will be just fine. You can also run VTEC with the P06, but may need to wire in a relay.
