ignition timing issues ... Help required

Post by trinisir »

good day
Engine : JDM b16a stock head and block
ECU : hondata s300
With the stock cams I had no issues setting the ignition timing as per ( select set timing enter 16 degrees and adjust the dizzy to suite)

I have installed dual valve springs and replaced the cams the exhaust is +2 and -2 intake.

I am unable to set the timing to 16 now.

I found some info not sure if it was correct.
1 cam degree = 2 crank degrees.

Therefore I set ( the set timing in hondata to 20 degrees ) and in doing that the crank lines up with 16 degrees.

Is this correct . If not please advise.

thanks for the help
