Is there any way to test hondata on the bench?

Hi,
Is there a way to test hondata on a bench?
I'm thinking about buying hondata second hand from a guy but I was wondering if there is a way of testing the ECU off of the car.
I'm not close to finishing engine swap, so I can't test kpro in my vehicle.

No, the only way to know for sure it works properly is in a vehicle.

does hondata test ecu before they upgrade?
if I buy this, I was going to send it in to get it updated to v4.

Yes, we test ECUs when the arrive and before we send them out. I know this contradicts the answer above, but that reply was given in the context of 'can I test ECUs on the bench'.
