B16a Revs out at 3 grand?????

I just put a jdm B16A in a 91 civic Standard And it runs fine and idles smooth but when you rev it up it stops at 3 grand. I have no idea what to do. The ecu throws a 4 and 23 code we have checked these codes and tried to fixe them but the problem still remains.

it sounds like your ECU is in limp mode.

23 is the knock sensor... what is code 4?

crank position and knock sensors will make your ecu run in limp mode. How is the motor does it sound like somethings not right??? If not reset your ecu and try it again. If that doesnt work try another ecu and see what happens. If that ecu does the same its either wiring or your motor. Check your connections.
