There is plenty of help in the help and contents section in flashpro manager. Read through it...There is advice and procedures for vtec and crossover tuning with recommended cam tables for forced induction, N/A, superchargers, and tubular and log style manifolds. Along with fuel tuning.
It's pretty good compared to some other tuning software packages with no definitions for tables and values.

Hi there, im back. Been reading, and making some modifications to the basemap.
- I am aiming at 5-7 psi ... completely stock with a GT25 turbo.
- Piggyback will be removed.
- I will use datalogs and stock lambda meter for 12.3 AFR. I will also be paying attention to knock sensor.
- Baby steps when turning boost up... corrrect and keep going.
I am attaching the map, it would be really helpful if you took a look at it and make suggestions...
Shoot to kill, i am learning here.
Thanks!

Re: Engine wont rev past 6800rpm when boosting 9psi
You say you are learning???
Why are you tuning someone's car?
Why are you shooting for 12.3 AFR?...I'd go for 11.0 AFR if I was you...Everytime you post it bothers me more that you are tuning somebody's car. I'm sure you will have a good reason why 12.3 is ok so I don't know why I bother....I'd stop while you are ahead. You are going to blow that guys car up if you keep this up...I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet considering it has already seen 10 psi at 16.0 AFR's.
You and this mechanic make a great team lol.

I havent uploaded this file to the car. I made him leave the wastegate open for the time being. To start making things right.ajpturbopittsburgh wrote:You say you are learning???

For starters, the piggyback was removed. Yes, we saw 16 afr @ 10psi ... thats completely f*cked up and i know it.
Anything close to 12 AFR should be ok for the intended boost. Id accept 11.8 even a little lower if detonation appears in spite of retarding. K20 in a stock forms is a high compression engine, so maybe your 11 AFR is a must due to this. I do not know that, and would be great if you stated this as a fact. Otherwise, my thought would be youre giving away power, as most times max torque figures occur at 12.1 - 12.3 AFR when possible. If youre running higher boosts, have a shitty combustion chamber, high compression ... etc or whatever makes the engine prone to detonation, im sure you would consider going on richer AFR to stop that, if retarding ingnition wouldnt cut it while keeping safe EGTs.
High compression is the case for the stock K20 ... even though i have turned the High cam near 10 degrees near redline, a GT25 is small and generates lots of backpressure at high rpm, ideal circumstances for detonation.
Why would you go as rich a 11 AFR? I know you have serious doubts about my skills (gotta give it to you, who wouldnt after the datalogs i uploaded, right?), so better be on the safe side... but 11, sounds way too rich. Cut to the chase and enlighten us with your knowledge. Would you please check the map and tell me what you think about it? it is a fact im not an experienced hondata user ... thats not to be discussed. But i am getting used to the flashpro manager tools and configs. I am confident i will reach a decent and safe map to be used with 5-6 psi.
Thanks!

Re: Engine wont rev past 6800rpm when boosting 9psi
Yes you will make more power at 12 afr compared to 11.0. But it is minimal, the real power changes come from ingnition advance. Why are you looking to run it to the ragged edge anyway? Many OEM turbo cars run afr's in the 10's.....11.0 is not way rich like you say.
You talk about being on the safer side but then say anything close to 12.0 afr should be ok...Just shut up already lol. That's too lean for boost...Believe it or don't. You say if detonation is present then you will richen it up......You don't want any!!! It may be too late by the time it happens! You need to be proactive to ensure it doesn't happen..You should start rich and retarded then dial in less fuel and more timing if you see fit but don't start lean and advanced and wait for detonation!!!
You are asking for it whether you know it or not....5-6 psi is still enough boost to require rich afr in the 11's

Re: Engine wont rev past 6800rpm when boosting 9psi
Not sure how you can be so confident that it won't happen lol....To be honest you have no business tuning anyone's car including your own. You have already most likely shortened the life span of that engine and caused irreversible damage. The shitty thing is your customer doesn't know how jacked up the initial logs are and how much abuse it has seen. So it may blow up on him later and he will have a hard time linking it to you...This is one of the most humorous, haphazard attempts at tuning a car and I've enjoyed it up to this point....I've read threads like this before and I'm convinced it's just meant to be a joke that's on the readers.
You need formal training. Some people can be self taught and absorb things they read. But you seem to already know it all and are convinced you know things and your posts make it clear that you don't know much. It's really hard for me to wrap my brain around. I wouldn't let you tune my lawn mower.

Actually i have been taking your advices and they have been really helpful. Car is now running fine at 4.4 psi, 11.4 AFR, no knocking,no melting.ajpturbopittsburgh wrote:Not sure how you can be so confident that it won't happen lol....To be honest you have no business tuning anyone's car including your own. Pressure starts dropping after 6800rpm due to the small turbo... However, injector duty is at 100%... so thats pretty much as far as we can go, and im a little concerned with those times... id prefer 85% - 90% at most.
What do you guys think about installing an FPR? WOuld the pump hold 70 psi plus the additional boost compensation? Not sure about the specs on it. Trying to reach 6-7 psi on stock injectors...
It is not that i know it all, but i do usually question things, im not arguing, just asking for explanations on things you take for granted, because you have experience. I usually want to know why i do things... i wont just do things cause somebody said so.
Really, if i have sound cocky or whatever, was unintended. The progress i have made since the beginning of this post is huge, and there´s still a lot to learn. Unfortunately there´s noone around but me to program this thing in the province i live. Guy wont pay for a dyno, so no way to hire an experienced tuner.
Re: Engine wont rev past 6800rpm when boosting 9psi
Invest $500 in a set of injectors & a fuel pump. INstalling a return line to try and do 7psi on stock injectors will cost more.
