Cut J12 and J4 in a JDM ECU

Post by Turbomo »

Hello

I have a JDM P28 ECU.
I am to remove J12 and J4 ????or only J4.
Where is exact J4??is it over IC2.

Thanks

There is no JDM P28. By your previous post you have said you have a P28 G00. This is a European ECU. You have to cut J12 and may need to disable some other sensors that this ecu does not have (eld, fuel injector error, and baro).

Hello

Is correct, is a european ECU.
Then I will remove J12.For what is this resistor???

What still the problem with my red LED could be???(It lights long and fast out,......,.......,.......)
but the car starts, runs however not correctly.

Thanks for your Answer,
Nico

It sounds like your base map is either incorrect or the chip is blank. Try burning a new basemap for a P28 with some of the sensors disabled.

Hi,

It?s a new Chip, the s200 is also ok.
it can be an error in the Conversion Harness (OBD0-OBD1) ??

The car runs ,however the LED continues to flash.

Have you a Link for Distributor OBD0-OBD1 Instructions??

Thanks Nico,

If it is a new chip is most likely blank.

Hello

It?s a new chip with basemap.

I have remove the jumper J12.but it changed nothing. (Led flashing)

I have after times ,chip removed and the car started and ran exactly the same as with chip. :?:

can be also because of the OBD adapter???

Thanks Nico

It is either a problem with the ECU socketing or the chip has the incorrect ROM version on it. I would suggest taking the car to your dealer or tuner so they can help you troubleshoot this problem.
