TSX with Kpro shut off and no power to board

Post by daviddoroshenko »

When posting a KPro problem with your vehicle, please include:
- what vehicle you have 2006 Acura TSX
- serial number of your K-Pro05006708
- version of software being used (from Help, About) 3.3.1.0
- ECU part number (starts with 37820) and serial number (the number under the part number)
37820-PRB-305
2054-100653 0G10

- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc).
CT-E supercharger, Bosch 725cc injectors, thats all i can think of that would effect electonics
- a specific description of the problem

Last Sunday (10-19-14) I was driving my TSX and all of a sudden the engine just shut off, the dash lights and everything were still on. I pulled over and cranked the engine, got nothing. Next I cracked the fuel line and had my buddy turn the ignition, there was absolutely no fuel. Naturally I thought my fuel pump went out (310whp stock fuel pump). I towed the car home.

Next day I bought an aftermarket fuel pump, dropped it in and thought I was done. The car would still not start. I replaced the fuel pump relay, no dice. Then I started digging a little deeper, I took the cover off of the ECU, and realized that when I turn my ignition on, no lights light up on the K-Pro board at all. Also, the green key on the dashboard is flashing, it is supposed to turn of after the fuel pump primes. I took my Kpro, dual harness, ECU, immobilizer and installed it in another 2006 TSX and loaded the stock map, worked like a charm! No issues at all. So i know the dual harness, ECU's, Kpro is in working condition.

I started to do a little research and here are the troubleshooting steps I have taken:
Tested A2 A3 E9 for power with key on - 11.65V
Tested A4 A5 E3 for continuity with ground, almost 0 ohm.

Also I should note that the side of the ecu, where it looks like its a heat sink with a horizontal screw, it gets very warm when the ignition is on, not sure if that is normal or not.

If anyone has any insight, help, anything please let me know before I burn this car to the ground.

Thank you in Advance!!

The dual adapter setup on the TSX is no longer supported, but it sounds like a blown fuse.

Thank for the reply.

I figured it out today, my speed sensor broke, and shorted out.

That's it.
