Hi,
I have encountered my throttle plate closing at high rpm ( 8400 onwards ).
Even though my pedal is at 100%.
It is fustrating as power is dropping after 8400rpm.
I am using J37 Throttle body.
Civic type R- asia model.
I attached the datalog for anyone who can help me on this.
Thank you

Hi,
what is your entry in "Overall Limiter" in "Rev Limits" in the "Rev Limiter" and "Rev Limiter Recover"?
(The recovery rpm should be 0-300 rpm lower than the rev limiter!)
BTW: Please attach your Cal!

Re: Throttle Plate vs Throttle Pedal
There is probably an error condition which is causing the ECU to close the throttle, but it is too short to trigger the error code.

Re: Throttle Plate vs Throttle Pedal
My rev limits were original 8800rpm and recover 8600rpm.
I encounter P2101.
After which i limit to 8400rpm rev cut and 8200rpm recover, no issue.
Now i set to 9200rpm rev cut and recover 8900rpm..
so far as long as i change gear at 8400rpm...no issue.
Attached my calibration

Re: Throttle Plate vs Throttle Pedal
P2101 is the throttle body. The calibration will not affect it.

Re: Throttle Plate vs Throttle Pedal
I ran into this problem with my ITB's, and solved it by reducing the max throttle position in the table. I found that I had to set the max to 60 in the table, but the datalog still shows the throttle opening to 89%. Of course, I can see that the throttles are actually fully open.

You mean at WOT or 100% Pedal, i set the Throttle map to 60% right?
Re: Throttle Plate vs Throttle Pedal
The S2000 may be significantly different in the way the table values get applied, so you will need to experiment with the max value for your car. However, below is a screenshot of my throttle map and resulting datalog. Note that my actual throttle plate is 100% open when it shows 88% in the datalog.
Basically, 60 in the table results in 88 in the datalog, which is 100% on the actual throttle plate.
