vtec map threshold adjustment

Post by gsportcars »

Hi,
I have searched this issue but strangely nothing appeared.

I have tuned a customers Rotrex charged civic type r with kpro and he has reported a minor issue.
Due to the vtec engagement point required in this car being very low in the rpm band he sometimes finds that vtec engages when he's not on full throttle. The car being supercharged reaches the 102kpa threshold very easily with out using full throttle.

I have tried a few times to increase the vtec map threshold above 102kpa but the k manager software keeps putting it straight back to 102kpa. Is this not possible in k manager or am I missing something?

I would guess that someone has come across this scenario before??

Thanks. ..

With KPro the VTEC min pressure is limited to atmospheric pressure.

Any chance of increasing the max map value threshold? It is a real issue on supercharged engines having such a low threshold.

Yeah it would very helpful to be able to adjust this above atmospheric pressure. On this particular car the customer finds himself in vtec while cruising at times due to the added pressure from the charger.

Is it something that would be possible in the near future?
