Bored out TB - tunning hondata

Post by Paluce »

Just a question about tunning the hondata on my JRSC'd H22. If I add a bored out TB to the car, will I have to re-tune the car. I'm assuming so because the signal from the TPS will be all messed up with the increased bore. Or am I parenoid and the Map will do everything just the same?

If I do have to re-tune, can I drive to the tunning shop if I stay easy on the throttle?

Sorry for sounding like a newbie... oh, By the way, I'm going for a stock H22 TB to a 66mm TB

It depends on how effective the new TB is. I would suggest taking the car to the dyno to verify that af is correct and see if any more power can be had.

so you obviously think it's safe to drive the car to the shop that has the dyno. thanks!
