TPS "read" buttons not selectable

Post by Spike2400 »

The TPS read buttons are not allowing me to select them to calibrate the TPS. I can manually enter the calibrations though. I've had problems out of my tps before. My question is, could the reason the buttons are not allowing me to select them be because the TPS has gone bad?

From Help, About, what version of software are you using? Do you have your calibration loaded when trying to do this, and are you dataloging as well?

It's the newest version of k manager on a version 3 ecu. Yes the calibration is loading and I'm waiting the stats live but I'm not actually recording.

As far as the ecu I'm not sure. I'll have to look. It will take me a couple of days. Have to have my computer cleared. Once I get it up I'll post a data log for you to see.

Have you turned on datalogging? The buttons arent available until you press the lightning bolt icon with the ignition on.

Yeah, so not quite sure what happened but I was clicking datalog but it wasn't showing up and I clicked some other way and it showed up. So I set them up. Closed is -1.8 and wot is 96.1. I was talking with some guys on fb and was telling them that the car was jerky and snappy if I cruise at a constant speed but under acceleration it's fine. They said that it sounded like the tps was bad. One suggested the new Ktune V3 tps. Said it used magnets so it was suppose to be a better quality. Y'all have any experience with it?

I'd like to get one right now but I just can't afford it. I'll have to wait about 2 weeks before I can get one. I hope they work like I've read.
