Firmware issue or something way worse?
Firmware issue or something way worse?
serial number: s300-0440 (green board)
- version of software: 2.2.7
- 98 Integra
- P28 with a OBD2 > OBD1jumper
I tried to download from the ECU to make modifications to my fan switch, but something wasn't allowing to do so. Additionally,
I couldn't make any adjustments to any other features (rev limiter, launch control, etc.), but my settings are still there.
When I clicked the "S300" tab the following errors occurred (see attached photo). Is it possible the firmware on the ecu
could be the problem or maybe the hondata is on it's way out due to the memory failure? FYI, the car runs, and I'm NOT the original owner.

Test on another laptop if possible. Is the 'Update firmware' option available?
Hondata
Re: Firmware issue or something way worse?
I didn't notice the 'Update firmware' on Wednesday when I did the update for the software, but I'll double check on another computer.Hondata wrote:Test on another laptop if possible. Is the 'Update firmware' option available?

From Help, About, what version of software are you using now?

I'm testing on another laptop, and there's no update firmware option. I'm still unable to update any of the parameters.Hondata wrote:Test on another laptop if possible. Is the 'Update firmware' option available?

Post a picture of the s300 board, make sure it is high quality and in focus showing the entire s300.

Here's the picture as requested. LMK If a more detailed picture is needed, and
I'll have my friend with his SLR shoot it.

Download the most recent version of software from the downloads section of the website and then go to the Online menu and click on Erase ECU. This may takje several minutes to complete. When that finishes, close the program and reopen it then go to New Calibration and try uploading one of the calibrations listed there. See if that resolves the issue.
Re: Firmware issue or something way worse?
Ok, so I went ahead and "ERASED THE ECU," and tried to upload a new calibration. It goes to update the firmware, and it keeps going into a never ending loop of updating the firmware.Spunkster wrote:Download the most recent version of software from the downloads section of the website and then go to the Online menu and click on Erase ECU. The new calibration seems to be not sticking, but I don't know for sure. FYI, I'm trying to upload a stock ITR map.
