GT28RS B18C1-Calibration Requested

Post by gorechylde »

Hello everyone. I am nearing completion of my build and would like a base map that will get me to a professional tuner without blowing up my motor. Searched and didn't find anything I'd be willing to risk putting on my ecu. Management is S300 v3. Specs are as follows.

B18C1
Manley Sport Compact rods
CP 9.0:1 Pistons
Grams 1000cc Injectors
Stock GSR Crank
Stock GSR Head
Stock GSR Intake
2.5" Apexi Worldsport II Catback Exhaust-Cat WILL be present. This is my DD.

Go-Autoworks Street Turbo Kit
Garrett GT2860RS
Tial MVS 38mm Wastegate
Tial 50mm BOV
2.5" charge piping with Go-Autoworks Bar & Plate FMIC

Thanks in advance.

I'm beginning my swap tomorrow. Can I use the RevHard calibration that is stored in SManager to get me to a tuner? The Revhard tune uses 440cc injectors. I have Grams 1000cc on the motor. Should I update the injector settings and dead times or leave them as the 440's? I'm afraid of washing the cylinder walls on startup.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will have to change the injector settings and then make sure it is running at a safe AF ratio. Then it must be properly tuned.

Thanks for your reply Spunkster.

I'll be installing Innovate A/F gauge and Oil temp/Pressure Gauges with the swap so I'm going to try to dial in my AFR before taking it to a tuner.

I would like to take it for a professional tune immediately, but this is a brand new motor. Should I allow for some break-in time before getting the tune or can I get it Dyno'd right out of the gate?

There seem to be conflicting schools of thought in this regard.

Thanks for your time.

Tuning right away would be best.
