S2000 idle settings not working

Post by Gernby »

I don't know when this quit working, but I found that the engine idle speed settings in FlashPro Manager don't seem to work anymore. While trying to setup a DBW ITB kit, I want to raise the target idle speed above normal while I get them synced. However, it doesn't matter what I set the target idle speed to, it tries to idle at 900 RPMs. When the ITBs are fully warmed up, and the sync is close, the engine is able to idle that low, but it often just throws a DTC about an intake air leak.

In the attached datalog, you'll see that it idles at about 1050 RPM even though the target idle speed was 1200. I also noticed this issue before I installed the ITB's, since I tried setting my idle higher for an autocross event, just to see if I could reduce heat soak. I set the idle to 1500, and it just ignored it. I wish I would have captured a datalog of that, but didn't.

Are the ITBs controlled by a motor?

Also, in case it wasn't clear in my first post, I noticed this problem even with the full OEM intake manifold and throtle body.

Download the beta version of software and see if that resolves any of your problems.
