S300 V3 issues

Post by lovehonda »

Hello to everyone ,

I am new to the forum and new to the Hondata world despite that I love my Honda's . (If I am in the wrong section please move.)
Anyway I am having some issues with the installation of my first Hondata . I used a chipped board , but I followed all the instructions and got it working .
At the beginning , my solders where not as the oem ones so I couldn't upload . I fixed that and I can upload and data log and everything looks normal . The car is a B18C2 and I uploaded the program for it for it . Injectors at 240cc . The car will not rev over 4000rpms in any gear nor in neutral . It also blows a lot of black smoke , which is running rich . I tried adjusting the injectors for starters until my wideband arrives and when I put it in 200cc it was worse . But when I went to 340cc it cleared .

The engine light is on but I tried to see what the fault is but it didn't show me anything just a blank page at fault codes . I tried logging through the app and it doesn't read rpm's or any other info or any check codes . Everything is 0 .

What is the serial number on the s300 board inside the ECU? From Help, About, what version of software are you using?

I am using the S300 manager version 2.3.3.0 . That what I found on the Hondata website . Board number is 30465 .
I have gone through help but according to it , if I have gone up to that stage , everything should be ok .

Have you contacted the dealer you purchased this from?

No , I bought 3 Hondata V3 from the same dealer . I installed all of them and the other 2 are working perfectly but they were stock ECU boards . I assumed that the 3rd one , is having problems due to a bad ecu board due to it being again chipped and maybe the previous person that chipped it , might have overheated the board .

Is this a possibility ?!

Thank you , a lot for your help!

So , I changed another board but I assume , that I haven't done something correct , as some things happening . I did not see the previous times that I am not fully data logging . What I mean that on the table it moves (blinks) to the rpm but on the map it doesn't show anything . According to the instructions it has to be the socketing but what and how ?! Is there supposed to be almost none (minimum) solder on the 14 pin ?
