I am a tuner and i have been tuning with crome for years with no problems... a few years ago i became a neptune dealer and have no problems with that either...
i tuned a k24 k20 turbo on kpro and it would update koeo (key on engine off) and datalog at idle no problems, as soon as i started doing a pull on the dyno it would stop datalogging and the program would freeze until i unhook the cable and turn the car off hook the cable up turn the key on then it would connect again ... i have the newest software from the website not the beta version either...
then i went to hook up to my friends ecu which is s300, turbo lsvtec and he wanted me to change hsi idle because it was too high, and it connected just fine, when i went to dowload from ecu (because i dont have his map saved) koeo as well as soon as i hit download the hondata smanager would close down every time i couldnt get it to work... both ecus the kpro and s300 i was using cables provided by hondata
i have a dell xps m1710 which has plenty of speed and 4 gigs of ram it runs the other programs no problems whatsoever... i just dont understand why it gives me so much problems when i try to use hondata
anyone with any help would be appreciated i have a couple of cars to tune this saturday with kpro and flashpro it would be nice if i could get my laptop to work with hondata
thankyou

Can you give details for each issue as per the posting guidelines? http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3629
With the kpro a disconnect at rpm is either the spark plugs or main ground.
With the s300 the answer depends on the s300 hardware version. Again, follow the posting guidelines. http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3772

And the same thing about the s300 car... it's a customers who brought it to me to change some small stuff.. I don't know the s300 number it is in a P28 the car is using bkr7e spark plugs non resistor but it was tuned by someone else and I can't get the map because every time I try to download a manager force closes
Re: i dont know where to post this.. having issue with softw
You MUST use resistor type spark plugs or you may damage the ECU.

Re: i dont know where to post this.. having issue with softw
okay i apologize for the info i put up was wrong... on the s300 b series turbo car the bkr7e are resistor spark plugs.. but on the kpro car the r5671a-8 are not... i will call the customer and switch out the plugs to a resistor bkr8eix plugs and try to datalog and see what happens
but as for the s300 how come when i download the map from ecu the smanager force closes?
k manager im using 3.3.1
smanager im using 2.3.3.0

Re: i dont know where to post this.. having issue with softw
Make sure that you do not have any other windows in Smanager open and you are not datalogging when you try to download.
