S300 no upload ?!

Hi.

I have a question... Does the S300 v3 need the main relay, distributor or any plugs related to the cylinderhead to be plugged in on a b-series engine to be able to upload to the ECU somehow ? Basically i have changed the headgasked and so far only torqued the headbolts. Meanwhile i wait for some stuff i thought i might try my new S300 v3 (brand new). 30020

*I have registered my ECU
*Installed drivers according to the manual
*I can read the Information/status (all ok)
*Drivers installed and On Line!
*Solid green light and if i remember correctly...really fast blinking red light.
*Windows 8

But upload, datalog, reset ecu buttons are greyed out...(Download is NOT, but of course there is nothing to download since i cant upload)

Also, in the Bluetooth app on my android phone, i can connect but it says "ignition off" even tho its in ON position... ?

I know it might be the socketing... but i need to know if this might be the problem before i go bananas on the ECU :)

You must open a calibration to be able to upload to the ECU or see any parameters. Click New calibration an dopen one of the calibrations listed.

Thanks, but i manage to fix it. Drove to a friend who is a tuner, we tested the ECU with another S300 v3 and we got it to work on his computer after a while (updates, reinstalls ect.). So i got back home and I had to manually delete some of the .dll files in system32 folder and in regedit. Reinstalled USB drivers and Smanager, now it works great!

Its easy when you have the possibility to trial and error with another S300 and a couple of ECU´s. :)

Can you please elaborate on what .dlls you removed, i am having the exact same issure and cannot figure it out

I found that those buttons are greyed out on both of my computers
I use the information tab and they work fine but in the drop down they are greyed out
