skip at high rpm
skip at high rpm
trying to figure out why I have a skip at high rpms with a stock tune the car runs fine but when I put in other tunes that work on other cars I get a skip any ideas would be welcome thanks
Re: skip at high rpm
It is because the tune that other people post are only for reference. You are not actually supposed to run them on your car expecting perfect results.mattfast wrote:trying to figure out why I have a skip at high rpms with a stock tune the car runs fine but when I put in other tunes that work on other cars I get a skip any ideas would be welcome thanks
Too many variables. Example, say someone has a not so perfect IAC valve. If they compensated for this in their tune, and your IAC works perfect, it could in turn fall flat on it's face or run abnormal because of the setting the tuner compensated for.
The only safe tunes in my eyes are the factory ones, and only if you have a factory setup with no modification.
" Use all calibrations at your own risk (dyno tuning recommended)"
Re: skip at high rpm
thanks the imput I found the problem it had a launch rev limit in the tune
Re: skip at high rpm
No prob, for the best performance get it dyno tuned, this way everything down to the are which you live in will be fine tuned to your motor :)
