Just tried the hondata mobile

Post by DomGSR-T »

Hi,

Not sure if there's a setup to do before using the app but, my TL cannot do between 100-170mpg at 70mph :) so there's something wrong there, also, can I change the Fahrenheit temp reading to Celcius? mpg to L/100km? mph to kmh? Also, is it normal that I have to enter the bluetooth password everytime I want to use it? Maybe there's a documentation somewhere on how to setup and use/customize the app that I don't know of?

What OS are you using (android or IOS)? There are settings for the injector size & dead times, and the temperature unit. The bluetooth password probably is because of the bluetooth stack on the phone - some only work with a PIN of 1234 or 0000.

I'm using Android, where/how do I change injectors size? and what value should I use to get good mpg readings?

Copy the settings from your calibration. Use the injector dead time at 14V.

A Value of 355 give me 48-50 mpg at 75mph... still not good... do the civic guys have that problem? maybe the calculation is not correct for a 6 cylinders?

Also why does the ECT2 is not available in the custom display?

Bump to this topic, I have had the same issues with the Hondata App for my iPhone. I've mess around with the dead time to get it in range but i don't know if this is the best way of going about it. Any input?

Please, no trolling. You will need to change the injector size / dead time to get the correct values.

There's no bug on our end to fix. Given the injector dead time and injector size are user adjustable, you can change the slope and intercept of the injector duration to fuel consumption relationship to anything you want, so it is up to you to determine what the settings need to be.
