Another nitrous question

Post by CivicVTi »

TOday I tried to install my NOS 5122 kit and started doing the wiring with Hondata. However I found that my car has no PSP input and thus I cannot activate nitrous (I want to retain my AC). The ECU itself has a pin at the B8 location but the car harness has not. My car is a EUDM (European) OBDI civic Vti (b16a2 engine). Do you know if I can connect the arming switch with the pin on the ECU directly? Hopefully there is the purge control solenoid so at least I have the output. THanks

Ask RMS if you can add the PSP input to your ECU.

I hope he sees the post. I also have a JDM P30 ecu. If the EURO one does not work, I'll try the JDM.

If I just used a wet kit and didnt wire it into my hondata would I be ok? I know its reccomended to use a dry kit and wire it in with hondata however im just thinking of using a wet kit and not using it in conjunction with hondata. Thank you

yes, the psp switch circuity elements can be added to edm large-frame ecus. a bit involved though so we only do them in-house... sorry but a walk through and support would be too much. only $30 bucks though.

elements for the purge control circuitry can be added to the large frame ecus, as well.

as far as the psp on jdm ecus, i'll check for you today.
purge control cannot be added to the small frame ecus as far as i know.

edited...had psp and pcs mixed up.

So what do you suggest me to do? What ECU do I need to run nitrous? A USDM P28 is OK? I can order one. As I see, the EUDM cannot support nitrous. I grounded the B8 pin of the ECU and used a nitrous enabled chip but I did not see 'nitrous armed' in Hondalogger. Please help! I want the juice....
