s300 noob, data logging issues

Post by m4xwellmurd3r »

So I just tried testing out my p06 ecu in my friends car. Threw a basemap amd adjusted for injector size and fuel pressure (he has it bumped up for whatever reason)
Ecu took the calibration and fired right up. I hit data log and nothing.
J12 was still in so I desoldered it out
Put the ecu back in the car with the same map and now it still wont read any sensor input and instead of water and air temp showing 32f they show 302f.

Still wont show any sensor inputs of I try to datalog. Am I missing something? It takes calibrations fine, no error codes, no cel.

Its a p06 woth boost control installed.

Under the sensor tab previously it was showing 0 for all sensors. After, most showed zero but timing showed -4 and tps showed 12%. There were a few other things too like at the bottom of the sensor window there are tick marks for certian sensors or something. Before they were all unticked. After cutting j12 some of them were ticked

Did I miss something? When I tried recording the data it just didnt do jack squat

Is this a likely condition to occur if I accidentally left the onboard data logging enabled?

My car isnt running so is it possible to trouble shoot the data logging by hooking up my engine harness with some of the sensors attached (and properly grounded) to see if smanager can pick up the sensors properly?

Ok guys, remember how I saod im a hondata noob?

I didnt know about the lights and what they mean.

I hooked up my engine harness, took off my ecu cover, and lo and behold, I have 2 solid green lights, and one flickering red light. Looks like I forgot to disable onboard data logging.

That explains why I wasnt getting realtime sensor info through smanager.

Ill try and get some time to hook up my laptop and see what the datalogs say. Ill bet their golden.

Lesson:dont freak out the second things dont go as planned.
