You'll need to open device manager and manually install the drivers.

When windows asks you windows update you need to say no, then tell it where to find the drivers.

Follow the instructions here http://www.hondata.com/help/smanager/us ... ooting.htm

What is the serial number on the S300 board inside the ECU?

You should use the downloaded software rather than the CD.

Your anti virus is deleting the software. See http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8240

I believe that the anti virus is stopping the drivers from installing.

Do you have both windows defender and trend micro installed? You only need one. In our experience the anti virus needs to be uninstalled for it to work (except for security essentials & defender, which are ok with our software).
Could this be a problem with the S300 itself?
Yes. What is the history of the s300? Is it new?
