Cpr install and plug type and gap

Post by Gsrmike »

Just got all my cpr stuff to install questions are

) on the install instructions under number 7 it says remove icm wire from coil
How exactly do I do that and can u show me a picture?

Number 6,9 from what I got from the instructions I am de pinning the plug that is attached to the dizzy and repinning the two appropriate leads from cpr harness,
So it is connected to the main engine harness? Correct ?

And what plugs are recommended for this and at what gap?

Running a built turbo vtec set up around 600whp on e85

You can either depin the ICM wire at the distributor, or at the ECU.

You de-pin the 2 wires on the distributor side of the plug and crimp on the pins provided and they go back into the plug in place of the pins you removed.

They must be resistor type plugs. The gap will depend on your engines needs. Discuss this with your tuner.

Funny ... Yes I have read the instructions before they are not very clear that's why hondata had to create a forum to help all the people (dumb we might be) to hook it
Up correctly.

Anyway thanks for your help spunker I'm guessing your a hondata employee

Remove the white lock, then you simply push the pin down slighly and it will pull out.

Ok so installed everything and...

I only twisted the wires together for a test start did that and she started just fine.

The. I solder all the connections together and tried to start nothing

It is getting power green light.

And after about 1-2 second of crabs I get the sync light flashing but no ignition light I will try to trouble shoot via the cpr help file.

Never mind got it it works great now but I will say that

On my obd2b harness 2001 Gsr the icm wore from the obd1 jumper splits in two and both need to be connected to the icm wire from cpr harness for this to work.

Just thought if let you guys know but I'm sure you all are tracking
