Hondata Flashpro ECU editor has stopped working

I have tried to download all versions for the flashpro manager and same error every time. I first tried the beta this was the message I received.
FP manager will not open at all. A few years back I had flashpro manager but an earlier version. Recently got another Honda and FP. Tried to reinstall and got this error. Prior to downlaoding I deleted every trace of the previous version.

If FlashProManager does not start it is because your anti virus software is deleting / disabling FlashProManager. See http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8240

Flashpro is not working.
I have looked over the link you sent of a thread describing how to fix.
After downloading and installing the new anti-virus, I checked the signatures and they are OK.
I placed an exception for the firewall to allow Hondata Flashpro as well.
The problem still persists. I keep getting the same error message as before. In the details it is acting like the program crashes when I try to open it.

Only programs I am running are the Microsoft security essentials and windows defender for security.

You should only have one of microsoft security essentials and windows defender. Uninstall windows defender.

Windows defender came preloaded on my laptop. I just uninstalled Microsoft security essentials.
The reason I was able to use FP manager on the other topic is because I temporarily downloaded it onto my sisters laptop.
It is a big inconvenience that I cannot use mine.
