can you go back to an older version of kmanager?

Post by sycksir »

like the title says, can you? I had 2.2 a few weeks ago and updated to 3.3 and ever since have had a weird hesitation while driving. Well, today I get up and the car (04 civic si) will turn over, but the idle is super rough, and then dies. you can rev it up past 2500k once and it sounds like its alright, but after that one time it no longer revs up. with foot to the floor it it just goes up to about 3000k and bounces and then when you let of the gas it goes back down and stalls out again. I cleaned the iacv valve, it was fine. I have absolutely no idea what to do. It also threw the code p1298 for the eld. I cleared the code and it has not come back on subsequent start ups. Unfortunately I dont know the kpro serial number or the ecu serial number, but the ecu was stock to this car so it is a pnf ecu. I m starting to wonder if my tune, which is well over a year old, is missing something that some of the new options on the newer version of kmanager has control of.

What is the serial number on your K-Pro board that is inside the ECU?

You should never downgrade the software as that will just cause more problems.

I'm not seeing what you described in this datalog.

Fortunately/unfortunately It started up normally after removing the ECU. I still am getting a stutter upon start up, but it doesn't last. Noticed the primary o2 sensor is showing zero volts, could that have caused that issue?

Because the occasional hesitations are still present, plus the strange stuttering acceleration still occurs on cold starts. There's def still a problem. It's just not as severe

Have you taken it back to your tuner to have them take a look?
