Hey guys, I have a S2000 on Kpro right now. I am thinking of upgrading to Kpro 3 mainly so I can run multiple sensors for data logging purposes. (just logging, I dont want any gauges)
Id like to log water temp for my superchargers after cooler water, ambient air temp, oil pressure, and oil temperature. I started pricing things out, and if I stick with the "base map" pre calibrated sensors you have for the analog inputs it appears my only option is to use PLX devices. Well, the PLX stuff is above 100 dollars each (not to mention having to stick the brain boxes somewhere, Ive already got plenty of wires and such filling my kick panel), so doing 4 or so gauges gets pricey really quick, plus the cost of the Kpro 3 upgrade.
Can you guys add more pre calibrated sensors to the analog input screen? My tuner is suggesting to stick with what is in the pre calibrated screen. Or, do you have a more cost effective solution to my dilemma?
Thank you for your time!
Kpro 3 analog inputs
Re: Kpro 3 analog inputs
If you can find other sensors that have 0-5v outputs you can use them and just enter them as custom.
Re: Kpro 3 analog inputs
Hey Rain! I am also running the Kpro 3 and yes you can connect multiple inputs in the analog as they have stated. Great option to data log many parameters.
The real thing that I just noticed and has me really excited is the support for a failsafe input. I am running the AEM Failsafe device and will soon have it plugged into Hondata for lean protection. The lean protection is monitored by the AEM failsafe widband and it will trigger the failsafe if and when the pre determined parameters are met by the aem device. Cant wait to test it out, this has been a great option many of us S2000 kpro owners have needed.

Re: Kpro 3 analog inputs
I know i need a linear graph, and it seems only plx supports that.
I am wondering if Hondata will expand on this and make alot more break points for the analog inputs. Running just a sensor wired in and programming it (such as an aem which would require some more breakpoints for programming) is alot more cost effective and much easier than buying a plx sensor module and then having to supply it with power, ground, signal wire, any others as well as hiding a handful of the sensor module boxes. I plan to run three of these but am limited on space.
