car goes lean on wot

Post by rasheedn »

Hi guys,

This is the 1st flashpro car i tune and i am having a weird problem

when going wot the car goes from target 12:5 afr to 14:00 afr

i tried to re-sale maf and to add stupid amounts of fuel and its still reading lean

this is on the stock o2 sensor (i read its a wideband and should be good for the job)

I tuned the closed loop and the corrections are very minor around 1-3% max

the car is stock euro fn2 except for an aem intake

any ideas?

Without the calibration and datalogs showing the issue it impossible to speculate.

You have to tune fuel in the correct way with the AFM calibrations.
Go to sensors and AFM flow. Go to mass flow and add 6% or 7% in all the mass flow values above 3,71v (don't change the voltage values. I seen you have change this voltage before).
If your car is still lean you have a dead o2 sensor.

this is what i did on a previous file

and it stayed lean

so dead o2 sensor right?

cant be that lean without melting something (client has been bashing the car for a month and its like this)

No it can't. It is running with 86% duty cycle. I think that when you install a new sensor you will see that the car is running rich.

replaced the o2 sensor and same thing

im looking closely at the afm reading and it looks messed up

maybe the sensor is old and needs replacing?

i just noticed that during a wot pull the s.trim goes up to 46% and the car hesitates during this period

i thought the s.trim would not be active during wot driving ??

Check the wide open throttle determination pressure in the closed loop section of parameters.

did you change the values in the wot lambda adjustment tables?

your map pressure is very low at WOT close to 900 when it should be close to 1000.
Also is this car running the last version of the FP manager? or an old one? If it's old, download the last one FPmanager and upload again the cal.

Can you post the calibration and a datalog? We have not made any changes to the FN2 since February, so it seems unlikely that the last update caused a problem.
