R18 Speedometer adjustment problem - ODO not adjusted

Post by XPOH »

Hi everybody,

I have the EURO CR-V with R20A engine. I bought US Civic R18 ECU and FlashPro (from Hondata authorised dealler) to tune my engine for boost.
Its work fine on my engine. But some do not work very well.

So I have to adjust vehicle speed and I set adjustment parameters in FP manager with -72% (approx 4 times slowly). I set either speed adjustment parameter ECU and Dash. This work fine. But dush odometer, average gas mileage, daily mileage readings are wrong - it have not been adjusted same as speed.

Can You help me? Can it solved by FP firmware or I have to install any VSS pulse frequency divider hardware?

Sorry for my bad english.
Sergey from Moscow with best regards.

The FlashPro is not designed for use in this vehicle. Using this is at your own risk.

I am understanding it, agreed and decided to try. I choose Hondata because it is the Tuning Kit and it is the best for tuning any hondas on entire market. And now I have some little significance troubles that I trying to solve while developing my tuning engine with Hondata. Also many people in Russia who own CR-V, want to embolden weak stock engine but dont know how do it. Then finally I planned to public my solutions on some tuner specific auto forums, and You will got a new potential customs. Can you help me and other people on this development, please?
Furthermore I think any final gear adjustment in full FlashPro suitable car (civic r18, si etc) should have same problem - odometer and gas mileage will be wrong readings as much as different to stock final gear.
Thank You for any help.

Agreed with XPOH, it will be great if Hondata add final gear ratio adjustment and/or gear ratios adjustment, injectors flow for econ calc, boost control feature, wideband lambda connect for R18 Flashpro.

There's not a large enough market for the R18, i dont even think they've hit 10,000 sales on units for the R18. Its just not cost effective for them to decode and do the R/D for such a small market. Especially since they dont support International models which most have the R series engine.

Hopefully in the future there's a large enough market to add the extras, such as boost control functions ie boost by gear, gearing and final drive etc.
