So to start off, my setup is your basic k20a2, i/h/e/rrc/svm cam setup. The IACV is removed so i have to hold the gas upon start-up for a few minutes before it'll idle by itself. Anyways, i just fabbed up a new 3.5" intake to replace my 3" Karcepts intake due to the dyno's i've seen and the gains that people are getting just by adding a half inch diameter of intake pipe!
Well since then if i don't give it enough gas (like if i hold the gas at 1,000rpm instead of 1,500rpm) i get a CEL for "sTc" which stands for Standard Fuel Trim. Does this mean i'm getting too much gas at start up or too little? Or could this be another issue? If the CEL does come up all i do is pull over, turn the car off, turn it back on, and the cel goes away permanently. I do plan on getting a re-dyno when i can afford it. I'm wondering why a CEL would pop up because i'm getting too much or too little fuel? Is K-Pro that sensitive? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff.
