I went to start my car yesterday and when I turned the key to the on position I heard the Fuel pump relay and then noticed I have a solid CEL. I opened my laptop to pull the code from the s300 and it wouldnt show any. I can download from the ecu but I cant use any real time sensors and it wont allow me to upload any changes. When I try to erase the ecu it goes through the process and then at the end says "couldnt erase ecu". The car starts but dies after 2 seconds.
So I grabbed another ecu from a friend who also runs s300 and I swapped my s300 into his ecu and I get the same results.
What can cause this, and I where do I go from here.
Serial # S300-3261
Version: 2.2.7.0
Car is 96 Civic coupe
B18c1 Built, ITR cams, 5858 turbo, 1150cc injectors
Ecu is a p28 from phearable.net with PWM, not sure what ecu the loaner ecu was but it was working fine before and after using it to troubleshoot. I was even able to upload my tune to his ecu/s300 and start/drive my car just fine.
