s2000 throttle plate function did not work

Post by Komo »

Hi,

we are mapping a S2000 supercharged on the dyno, to m
limit the boost at high revs I want to close the throttle plate a bit ( like we do it on the Civic SC ) but unfortunatelly it did not work. The live screen shows that the throttle plate closes, but the power stays the same.
Any ideas? maybe I made a mistake in the set up .

Thanks in advance

With the SC we had to close the throttle to about 40% before the power dropped.

With the throttle pedal to plate tables sometimes the ECU will trigger an error condition if you set the plate position a long way from the pedal - they need to be roughly linear.

thanks for the fast reply, I tried from 5000rpm on down to 40 and 30% . In live screen it shows minimum 65% .
The gap between t pedal and t plate will be very wide because I stay on 100% . Sorry not sure what you mean

I think you are seeing when I described - the ECU does not allow a huge difference between the plate and pedal.

You may be best to use a restrictor plate before the throttle body.

yes you are right, I tried it again with a smoother throttle position request, its fine now,
We use a air restrictor for the S2K up to 2006 with mechanical throttle. Unfortunatelly there is no solution for the ECU from Hondata I think :-(
