tuning question-basemap settings

Post by aceman187443 »

When using the smanager and selecting a basemap to start with on the s300 hondata, in the "fuel trim" say my car had stock 235cc injectors but the basemap from something that was not 235cc and "fuel trim calc" fuel pressure, displacement come from the car the basemap is made for NOT my car. I believe everything "old settings" comes from the car the basemap was made for, but I just wanted to clear up that issue since I've seen people use the base map for of a differnt car other than theres, Not that there is anything wrong with that, but looking up the info on the "basemap car" to get started tuning correctly is involved. This is correct? Also in closed loop operation settings, what is the difference between "wideband input (voltage target" and the "wideband input (lambda target)? Do the both use the 0-5v range? Thanks a million in advance!

When reporting any s300 problems, please include:

- serial number of the s300 inside the ECU
- the calibration (as an attachment)
- a datalog of a problem (as an attachment)
- what sort of vehicle you have
- what sort of ECU you are using
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc).
- a specific description of the problem

What? It is a question not a problem. I just wanted to know the correct way to tune starting from a scratch basemap of a car thats not exact model.

if your vehicle has 235cc injectors, change it to 235cc.. If you don't know how to tune, you shouldn't be messing with this. If you know how to tune, it should be done already.. You got buddies that know?? let them help.. Read the help file too, it help ALOT.. No harm intended man..

I do know how to tune. I was asking how your software is setup. I've not seen a straight answer to these issues and thought maybe since you guys made the stuff we cld set it straight for everyone whom ever wondered the correct way. I will stick to the idea that "old settings" are from the car the base map came from not what you usef to have, and "new settings are what you have now. If anyone knows a deffinit answer please chime in.

Not sure what you mean by old settings and new settings. The labels used in the software are "stock injectors size" and "current injector size". These mean exactly what they say.
