GSR timing map

Post by SammyC »

What's the typical total ignition timing of a stock GSR timing map?

I would love to get a direct answer to this as well. Hondatas P72 tune is close enough to get you started; but I was able to use a scan tool at work on an OBD2 GSR, and logged the ign timing while driving. I found that the Hondata supplied ign table is slightly different than what I was reading through a live data stream, not by much, but a little. I also noted that the factory ecu took one degree of timing out per gear,( matching the same rpm and load range for comparison of course) . Ex: If 1st gear was at 33 degrees @ 2000 rpm's with a map reading 20" of vac, 2nd gear was at 32 degrees at the same cell, 3rd gear was at 31 degrees, etc, all done with ECT at 177 degrees, at sea level, and 60 degrees IAT...I half ass'ed an interpolated map using several know ign points. I'll attach it, but in no way has this map been tested or tuned.

Has anybody found the factory specs out there?
