S300 - P06 ECU - AC condensor fan control
My air conditioning condensor fan will not turn on. Apparently, it never has since I put in my S300 P06. My compressor does turn on and I get cold air, but no fans. We jumped the relay already at the engine fuse box do we know the fan does work. The Honda repair manual says the condenser fan is controlled by the ECU. Since a P06 may or may not come with a/c, I am thinking that I need to do something with the ECU. Any suggestions?
Re: S300 - P06 ECU - AC condensor fan control
If you suspect that it is the ECU I would try a known working ECU to see if that resolves the issue. IF it does then you know your ECU is faulty and you will need to install your s300 into a different ECU.
I do not know the exact components to look for that control the fans. Typically it is far easier and cheaper to just replace a faulty ECU than to try to repair it.

Can the wire from the harness be connected to one of the multi purpose outputs to control the condenser fan?Spunkster wrote:If you suspect that it is the ECU I would try a known working ECU to see if that resolves the issue. No as it will not cycle with the AC properly. The easiest solution would be a working ECU that controls it properly.
