A question and A problem...

Post by CavemanXXL »

Hey community!

I have a question and a problem... Question first...

Q: I've both AC&PS and everything on my turbo b16 civic, i want to add a switch for a second map on S300, how can i do that ? What type of switch i need and where do i need to connect it on the ECU ?

Problem: I have a Acer Aspire One D270 netbook for my tuning, but i can't establish a health connection. I can connect to my S300 with my other laptop and from a friend's laptop. Only problem i have is with the netbook. Everything is up to date on it, both S300 drivers and netbook's own drivers are up to date, everything is fine with it. Also tried with 2 other data cables(3 in total), other 2 laptops seems to work just fine but not the netbook. What it does is, when i first connect to it, it is fine for like 6-10 seconds then it freezes up.PROGRAM DOESN'T CRASH!. Just the numbers on the sensors and the movement on the CEL tables freezes like it is suddenly disconnected from the ECU. You can't download from or upload to the ECU in that state neither. Why do you think that does it ? I'd really appreciate it if i can solve this problem because if not, i'd have to buy another small laptop/netbook... :(

Thanks in advance for the help...

Details on secondary tables can be found at http://www.hondata.com/help/smanager/se ... =secondary

For the problem with it freezing only on one device it sounds like a USB problem or a operating system corruption on that one device since no others have the problem.

You might try reinstalling windows and see if that resolves the issue.

Yeah, the problem seems to be with the netbook i have(Acer Aspire One D270), it was happening when it was Win7, i installed Win8 and it still did the same thing. I'm gonna format it again, hope it'll solve the problem, if not i guess only thing remains to do is to get a new one.

But the thing i can't get my head around is it wasn't doing it until the last month, it is wierd...
