IAT - Add Timing at Colder Temp

Post by Johnny_9 »

Is there a way to add timing at colder IAT's; the software wont allow that at 42 C (it only allows zero and no higher value)

Is the OEM tune for temperate climates - tuned in colder weather and retarded for hot summers?

What about Middle East - tuned it the hot day and run during cold nights (which is my situation)?

Can Hondata please advise, what to do. or come up with the fix?

Do I add x degree timing on the whole map during the day at 61, then take it way with the IATc (Increase the retard -3.25 @ 61, to say "-3.25 - x", so during the cold (41 C) night, ignition is advanced by "3.25 + x" ?

IT is not possible with table despite what it says there to add timing when it is colder. The best thing to do would be to tune when it is cold and then you can use the retard to pull timing when it is hot.

The software will probably be changed to have the proper wording in future releases.

Thanks! - I am looking forward to the release, as dyno shops are not open in the night where I stay and I am not a fan road tuning.

In passing I am curious to know, if you have the info handy, at what ambient and engine IAT/ECT is the stock OEM maps tuned at?
