crazy ignition under boost!!

Post by soxfan143 »

Hey guys. I noticed a really weird ignition here. My ignition values are dropping randomly. Here is a small section of the log. I have no idea where those ignition values are coming from. Here is a small section of the log and calibration. I used a civic hybrid cal as a base map. I'm not 100% finished with the transfer from the race cal to this yet. But I'd like to know why under boost my ignition goes from the set value down to 4 degrees then back to the set value repeatedly. It seems to be dropping by 10 degrees from the set value across the board randomly. Thanks.

I looked around in the ignition calibration tab and maybe the cranking ignition value is interfering. Or is it the tip in % value? I'll try zeroing that out and see if it stops.

It didn't work. I zeroed out the cranking ignition and lowered the tip in % and it's still doing it.

Are you switching calibrations? I start again and just transfer the fuel & ignition tables, run off the wastegate, and see what it does then.

Yes I'm switching over from the "race" cal to the AFM hybrid cal. So you want me to just keep all the settings as is and just copy and paste the fuel and ignition and cam tables? That's all I basically did besides the boost control and IAT ignition compensation. I didn't change anything else besides the necessary values. I didn't touch any of the knock tables or anything like that.
